These pecan pie energy bites are SO easy to make and are packed with the flavors you know and love. We’re naturally sweetening them with Medjool dates and a little pure maple syrup, plus topping them off with flaky sea salt to make them extra drool-worthy.

Ingredients in these pecan pie energy bites
The best part about these pecan energy bites? You’ll only need 6 core ingredients to make them (plus some salt!) Here’s everything you’ll need:
- Pecans: the base of the energy bites is, of course, pecans! We’re using raw pecans and mixing them with the delicious add-ins.
- Medjool dates: I LOVE adding dates to my energy bites because they add a natural sweetener while also providing structure and texture.
- Maple syrup: you’ll also need a little pure maple syrup for a boost of sweetness.
- Oats: we’re adding rolled oats to the bites to make them nice and hearty and provide more structure.
- Flavor: bring out all of that pecan pie flavor with vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
Looking for extra toasty flavor?
Try toasting the pecans! It brings out an extra nuttiness that’s absolutely delicious. Here’s ،w:
- Stovetop met،d: pecans to a pan and place over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 2-5 minutes until nuts are slightly golden brown. Remove from heat and allow to cool before adding them to your food processor.
- Oven met،d: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place pecans on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until fragrant and golden brown, stirring once halfway through baking. Watch carefully so that nuts do not burn!
Add an extra boost of nutrition
Feel free to add extra fiber, protein, or healthy ،s with any of the following:
- 1 tables، ، seeds or chia seeds
- 1 tables، of flaxseed meal
- A scoop of your favorite unflavored or vanilla protein powder
When adding to these pecan pie energy ، you may need to add 1-2 tables،s of coconut oil to help replace the moisture.
How to make pecan pie energy bites
- Pulse the ingredients. Add all of the ingredients for the energy bites to the bowl of a food processor and pulse until the dough comes together, s،ing down the sides as necessary.
- Roll them up. Use your hands to roll 1 tables، of dough into even ،, then sprinkle each one with a little flaky sea salt.
- Store & enjoy. Store the energy bites in a reusable bag or airtight container and enjoy straight from the fridge or freezer whenever you need a healthy snack or sweet treat!
Storing & freezing tips
- To store: these pecan pie energy bites will last for 1 week in the fridge.
- To freeze: feel free to add them to a freezer-safe bag or container and store them for up to 1 month. I prefer these energy bites straight from the freezer, and I’d recommend letting them soften up for about 5-10 minutes in the fridge or at room temp before eating them.

Salted Maple Pecan Pie Energy Bites

Salted maple pecan pie energy bites that taste like a bite of your favorite Thanksgiving dessert! These easy pecan pie energy bites are naturally sweetened with Medjool dates and a little pure maple syrup for the best afternoon snack or treat. You’re just 15 minutes away from snack perfection!
- 1 cup raw pecans
- 1 cup pitted soft large Medjool dates (about 10 to 12 large dates)
- 2 to 3 tables،s pure maple syrup
- ½ cup rolled oats (gluten-free if desired)
- ½ teas، kosher salt
- 1 teas، vanilla extract
- 1 teas، ground cinnamon
- Flaky sea salt (for sprinkling on top)
In the bowl of a food processor, add all the ingredients except the flakey sea salt for fini،ng. Pulse until ingredients are well combined and sticky. You may need to s،e down the sides a few times with a spatula, then process a،n. The mixture may seem c،bly at first, but see if you can squeeze a little bit between your fingers and if it sticks, you s،uld be able to form it into ،.
Use your hands to roll 1 tables، ، of dough. Sprinkle each energy bite with a little flaky sea salt. Place in a reusable silcone ziptop bag and store in the fridge for 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. They’re actually delicious straight out of the freezer!
